Welcome to
At Carey Therapy Services, I offer a range of therapeutic services designed to support mental health and personal growth. Whether seeking short, medium, or long-term therapy, I work to provide a safe and supportive space to explore personal challenges and support growth. I offer joint sessions to enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and address shared concerns. Additionally, I provide clinical supervision for professionals, supporting reflective practice and development. Alongside this, I deliver self-care and mental well-being workshops designed to promote overall emotional health.
Book NowI have a particular interest in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family dynamics, parenting, co-parenting, and women’s issues. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can explore these challenges to allow for healing, change, and empowerment.
You may wonder about the difference between counselling and psychotherapy. Counselling typically focuses on providing support for specific issues or life challenges in a shorter-term, solution-focused manner. It’s often ideal for those seeking help with immediate concerns or stress. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, often delves deeper into emotional patterns, past experiences, and unconscious processes, and is usually a longer-term commitment. Both services are tailored to meet your individual needs and goals, whether you’re seeking insight or practical strategies for change.
I bring a wealth of experience to my psychotherapy practice, along with a deep commitment to supporting my clients. Before transitioning to psychotherapy, I spent 10 years as a secondary school teacher. My passion for mental health led me to retrain at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, where I completed an MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy.
Since qualifying, I have worked privately and within NHS mental health services, supporting both adults and young people across diverse settings. My approach is holistic, and I am committed to continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure I provide the highest standard of care.
